5th grade parents,
I have had parents ask me for recommendation on ukuleles. Personally, I like Kala brand. I own 3 different ukuleles from Kala. Other brand that has been recommended to me is Luna. Luna ukuleles tend to be more expensive but has a great sound. Other than brand, there are different shapes and sizes to consider. Here is a YouTube video that may be helpful. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wh4NbQzMIM8

Recorders are available for students in 4th and 5th grade if they wish to purchase one. They are $7 each. Please use the form to pay Ms. Lynn in the front office. She has new recorders to give to the students as soon as they pay. I will carve their names into the recorder when they bring them to music.
The letters to find out instrument preferences have been sent home last week. If you have already returned the form, thank you! If you have not done so yet, please check out the link below. There should be ONE choice marked for recorder and ONE choice marked for ukulele. We're going to start playing these instruments very soon! Please return the form to music room as soon as possible.
We have many 3rd graders who are excelling in Recorder Karate!
I hope everyone continues to work hard! If anyone has the permission to watch Youtube tutorials on how to play recorders, here are the links of some useful videos.
